Twice in October 2021, friends Jan and Kathy and I traveled to photograph the beautiful Fall foliage. First, we once again traveled the "Rockport Loop" starting at Mount Vernon and traveling to the cities of Clear Lake, Sedro-Woolley, Rockport, Darrington and Arlington. Next, we headed east to Winthrop logging in about 300 miles and taking most of the day. On both trips we stopped and enjoyed a great picnic and both trips, the weather was wonderful. The trip to Winthrop revealed several micro-climates. Fall, snow and desert.
